About Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a hard forked version of the Bitcoin (Core). Bitcoin Cash is similar to bitcoin with respect to the protocol; Proof of Work SHA-256 hash, 21,000,000 coins, the same block times and reward system.
However, two big differences are the size of the blocks, from August 2017 Bitcoin has a block of 1 MB, while Bitcoin Cash has 8 MB blocks. Bitcoin Cash will also adjust the difficulty level every 6 blocks, unlike Bitcoin, which adjusts the difficulty level every 2016 blocks.
Bitcoin Cash was a proposal from the “ViaBTC” mining pool and the “Bitmain” mining group to implement a UAHF (User Activated Hard Fork) on August 1, 2017 – 12:20 pm UTC.They rejected the agreed consensus (also known as BIP-91 or SegWit2x) and decided to say goodbye to the original Bitcoin blockchain and create “Bitcoin Cash” (BCH).
All Bitcoin owners can claim their Bitcoin Cash if they have the private keys or if they use an online wallet that offers this possibility to users.
